The Ghana football association is currently struggling to decide on that future of the Blackstar’s coach and restore the senior teams destroyed reputation.
The senior National team’s form has dipped over a long period of time.
However, the senior team’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON has further fueled and necessitated the urgent need for a total overhaul of the management members, the technical staff and the head coach.
For the first time since 2004, the National team failed to qualify for the competition. Even worse, the team failed to win a single match in all its 6 matches during the qualification stages.

Perhaps, the straw that broke the camel’s back was the 1-2 home defeat to Niger. The black stars regrettably finished at the bottom of the group.
The football association’s executive council early on scheduled to meet on 28th November to brainstorm and decide on the performance of the head coach and technical staff of the Black Stars’ team.
The Association, however has reschedule the meeting to a future date but is yet to communicate the new date to all stakeholders
Currently, the German trained Ghanaian coach is still under contract until 2026. Hence, terminating his present contract has dire financial implications for the GFA and the nation.
