Movie Producer, Director and Entertainment Pundit Socrate Safo has given his account of how much The Ghana Tourism Authority invested in Afua Asantewaa’s Singathon Challenge.
Afua Asantewaa has dominated the entertainment airwaves in Ghana for about two weeks since she granted an interview and claimed she only received sore throat medicine from Vice President Dr. Bawumia (Government)
This assertion she made in a radio interview with host Nana Romeo on Accra FM. The statement has certainly not gone down well with many stakeholders in the entertainment industry. This is because some of them are preview to information surrounding the Singathon challenge. Some are also aware of the items donated to Asantewaa and her team by Government during the challenge.
Socrate has debunked her claim and clarified that the Tourism Authority which is Government sponsored donated several items including food (several Papaye package), water and money.
The movie Producer also said even the booth the singer used for her challenge was constructed by the Ghana Tourism authority.
Socrate went further to state that the only item the singer brought for her challenge was an Air Conditioner and a Television set.
Mr Safo’s colleagues in the Peace FM studios all agreed that Government donated multiple items to the singer, hence Socrate is right in his submissions.
