The Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspects in the killing of one individual in the central region.
The shooting is said to have happened in Awutu Senya East Constituency, Iron City. The police has indicated that one person has died and another injured.

A weapon that is suspected to have been used in the shooting has been retrieved. Its an AK47 rifle with 69 rounds of ammunitions
The four suspects have been identified as Awudu Yakunum, Kwabena Essah, Hakeem Bawa and Issaka Mashual
The dead body has been deposited at the morgue whiles the injured individual is presently receiving medical care.

It is alleged that what triggered the incident was the self declaration by NDC parliamentary candidate, Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor as the winner of the parliamentary contest.
The Police has confirmed that the NDC parliamentary candidate and her supporters were fired on whiles on their way home, leading to the death of one and injuring another.
The police have arrested the four suspects and are assisting with investigations.
