In the morning of 6th December 2024, Ethiopian airlines landed its maiden flight to Kumasi.
It was earlier reported the the first flight to Kumasi Prempeh International Airport first flight was postponed.

The initial reported dated for the first flight was 3rd December, 2024
However, the flight would land earlier than most people thought.
Flight number ET8719 is the first international flight to land in Kumasi.

Flight ET8719 landed in Kumasi at 10:16am (GMT) after it left London at 4:38am (GMT).
The Prempeh i international Airport is expecting its next international flight on 15th Dec, 2024.
The Ghana Airport Company Limited has hinted of more flights in the coming weeks.
The new flight schedules come at a great relieve for travelers in Kumasi. There would be no more need to travel to Accra before catching an international flight. Neither would it be anymore necessary to book a flight from London to Accra before going to Kumasi
This initiative by the Ghana Airport Company Limited will create convenience for travelers whiles strengthening the ties between the two nations.
