The Government has released the white paper report on the constitutional review commission that was set up by the late President Prof Evans Atta Mills.

The impetus for the review was contained in the Party’s 2008 Electoral Manifesto which was publicly declared by the Prof and diseased president.
The Constitution Review Commission was set up on the 11th of January 2010 with these main objectives:

1 To ascertain from the people of Ghana, their views on the operation of the 1992 Fourth Republic Constitution and, in particular, the strengths and weaknesses of the Constitution
2.To articulate the concerns of the people of Ghana on amendments that may be required for a comprehensive review of the 1992 Constitution; and

3.To make recommendations to the Government for consideration and provide a draft Bill for possible amendments to the 1992 Constitution.
