The VFS Global in charge of the collection of applicants’ biometrics and passport transmission to the Canadian Embassy in Ghana has updated information on passport submission and collection at its centre in Abelenkpe, Accra.

This decision may likely have been taken due to the ripple effects of delayed applications from the High Commission causing undue pressure and uncontrolled crowd at the VFS center during the past few days.

Visa Applicants gathered at the Canada Visa Application Centre For Biometrics, Submission and Collection of Passports
The latest update on its website as of Thursday, June 15th 2023 says beginning Monday, June 19 2023, applicants would have to book appointments for the submission of passports from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm daily.

Applicants can also pick up their passports from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm but would not need an appointment for passport pick up.

The office also announced that it would open on Saturdays beginning June 24, 2023, to August 26, 2023, between 09:00 am and 1:00 pm, for passport submission and collection.
It is still possible for a third party to collect passports on behalf of an applicant if all conditions that already existed are met.
