The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Alban Bagbin has sent a message of gratitude to president elect John Mahama and the people of Ghana.
The message was contained in a a letter from the speaker of parliament’s office released on Sunday 5th January 2025.
Rt Hon Speaker Alban Bagbin was reacting to a gesture extended to him by the incoming president.
Earlier in the day, John Dramani Mahama directed the National executives and party leadership of NDC in parliament to nominate the current speaker for the 9th parliament which will begin on 7th January 2025.
The speaker thanked John Mahama and the people of Ghana for the trust bestowed on him to be the speaker again for the 9th Parliament.
