Hon Ablakwah Debunks Allegation Of Being “Smuggled In” For Vetting-VIDEO

Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and nominee (Minister of Foreign Affairs) has debunked allegations made by the Minority in Parliament that he was” smuggled” to be vetted by the  committee in Parliament.

The Minister designate spoke passionately about the matter while directing it to the Minority member on the committee Hon Afenyo-Markin.

In debunking the claim of being “smuggled in”, The Nominee said “I have a formal invitation letter from the committee, signed by the clerks and the committee’s chairman. It’s all documented. There was no conspiracy, no backdoor dealing,”

Hon Ablakwa read out his invitation he received from the committee to the the whole house indicating the minority misled Ghanaians in their press conference by alleging the nominee was “smuggled in”.

He said further “This is a serious matter, and it’s beginning to affect my reputation,” he stated. “I have received numerous calls from respected individuals, including chiefs and colleagues, asking if I misled them or if there was something improper about the process. I want to make it clear that I followed all procedures, and I am here today to ensure that my name and integrity are upheld.”

Hon Afenyo-Markin accepted and apologized to Hon Ablakwa and his wife for the earlier miscommunication that somehow dented the image of the latter.
