The Ghana Education Service has written a letter given approval to all Regional Directors of and Heads of Senior Schools to proceed with the procurement of food and essential items.

Before School’s reponed in January, the schools were in dire need of food items due go Government’s non payment of arrears.
The Schools reopened because the Government later settled part of the bills to enable feeding.

The Ghana Education Service has additionally in this latest release directed Regional Directors and Heads of Schools to proceed with essential purchase to feed students with GHC 7.50 and GHC 3.00 per day for boarding and day students respectively.
All Heads of Public Senior High, Senior High Technical and STEM Schools are to be informed about this directive. This provision the letter stated however that it is for a temporary period of 2 weeks.
