Good Deeds Pay-Swedru Secondary Student Receives More Gifts

Swedru Secondary School student Jeff Ebo Erhin who received GHC20 for returning a lost purse containing money has been rewarded a hundred fold.

Few days ago, a student from The Swedru Secondary School went viral for returning a lost pause with an amount of money less than 300gh intact. In the video, the headmistress of the school Madam Andam was seen speaking highly of the young man, rewarded him with 20ghc and a beautiful hug.

Many Ghanaians hailed the young man for his actions. Others unfortunately branded him as “stupid” for returning the money in such a harsh economic environment. Some also claimed the paltry sum given by the headmistress was inadequate with some even labeling her as overly dramatic.

However, after the video went viral, a few good Ghanaians have also rewarded the boy for exhibiting such high moral standards.

Professor Gyampo, a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana rewarded the young man with GHC10,000 to support his education.

The Adepa teacher’s credit union have also donated many items and a cash amount of 1,000. The union also promised an employment opportunity and a possible scholarship all for the young man

The headmistress Madam Andam who could not conceal her excitement said she had received numerous calls with several opportunities for Jeff.

She also said the student will receive some of the donations at the school’s assembly grounds as a form of motivation to other students.
