How it all Started in Pictures
She has been able to complete so far a long 88 hours and 50 minutes alone while taking a few minutes breaks during the competition as of Monday morning 16th May 2023. She hopes to set a new record after breaking the current one held by the Indian Chef Tandon. The different kinds of food she cooked were served freely to some of the audience and supporters watching the show 24 hours nonstop.
One of the partners, Uber gave a 40 per cent discount to Nigerians who trooped in to give their support to the gourmet chef.
She had the liberty to cook any kind of food she desired with any kind of ingredients available. The food items were all sponsored by different partners
She was cheered on to victory by various Nigerian supporters, family and friends who trooped in and out of the cooking centre in Lekki, Lagos.
During this competition, she was allowed to drink some water, juice and glucose to keep her body hydrated in order not to cause any harm. But not allowed any coffee or drinks that would artificially boost her energy levels to gain an unfair advantage.
There was an ambulance on standby with paramedics to examine the young Chef‘s health conditions during the intermittent breaks
The previous record holder was Lata Tondon, an Indian chef who achieved an uninterrupted cooking marathon of 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.
Since Monday morning, congratulatory messages have been pouring in from different parts of the world to acknowledge the chef’s new record.
