MzBel, a Ghanaian musician and media personality has granted an interview to Peace FM’s Entertainment show outlining her 20 years journey and how negative reports have affect her.
MzBel is celebrating her 20 years journey in the Ghanaian Music Industry.
The Musician, during the interview said over the past 20 years, several reports about her have deeply affected her. She added that more often, when she grants interviews, reporters almost always exaggerate, misquote or misunderstand her. This she said has led many to view her brand as controversial and unattractive.
Highlighting just one and the latest controversy to hit her brand, she said an interview she granted was misconstrued and an article with headline “I don’t employ Gas, they are too lazy” caused her great pain.

Talking about her journey through life and music.ans success, MzBel said she never won an award at any Music Awards in Ghana but has won several awards outside of Ghana. She said one of the reasons was that her songs were tagged by organizers and many as profanity and one that would be a bad influence on the youths.
Before getting into the spotlight, the songstress said she worked at a TV station, as an advertiser as well as a marketer. However, she had meager salary but tried music and realized the renumeration was higher and more profitable, hence she decided to do music.
Outlining how disappointed she has been concerning collaborations with other musicians, MzBell said some of her colleagues have rejected working with her due to their perceived bad publicity or controversial nature of her brand.
She however hinted on a new single coming out shortly.
