The Finance Minister of Ghana, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson yesterday presented the government’s first budget to parliament.
As Ghana navigates what the administration has called an economic crisis, the presentation is anticipated to lay out the government’s economic recovery plan in accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution.
Earlier in the week, the Finance Minister interacted with some market women to ascertain their expectations in the upcoming 2025 budget.
It was evident that issues like the E-Levy and high import Duty were some of the major issues raised by most market women and the youths.
