Though much of the consideration concerning your visa application may depend on how much money you have, much attention should be paid to the details of the bank statement you present to the embassy. This is so because it shows that you are financially sound and stable in your home country and hence may not consider migration.

Some visa applicants actually and unfortunately believe or assume that consulars are from a different planet and just landed in their country to decide whom to give visas to.
Don’t try to fool the consular section or the consular officer. They might probably have served for many years in the same capacity in your neighbouring country so are very much aware of all the tricks in your territory.
Preferably, embassies may require a personal bank account statement that shows various transactions and how much money you intend to spend on your travel.
However, others who may be traders would prefer to use a company account for travelling purposes.

NB: The UK embassy is very strict on personal bank statements for travel purposes. Salary workers have more advantages when applying for UK visas. You may wish to consult a travel agent for advice when you decide to present a business or company bank statement for visa purposes.
What matters most are the types of transactions that frequent the bank account.
As much as possible , avoid banks that are not registered or recognized by you County’s central bank. Some Rural Banks or Microfinances may not be recognized by you Country’s authorities.
Having cheque transactions or interbank transfers sound more convincing than having deposits of physical cash frequenting the bank account. There is no harsh and fast rule about this though.

NB : Nothing stops the visa section from emailing your bank to verify the statement you presented.
Do not be tempted to withdraw all your money or a huge chunk of it right after you print your bank statement.
Avoid depositing huge sums of money in the account especially by cash few weeks or a month prior to the proposed travel date. It’s a huge red flag.
