Dumsor To Hit Some Areas In Accra Due To Maintenance

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled maintenance work for Monday, July 14, 2025, which will result in a temporary power outage in several areas of the Greater Accra Region.

The exercise, aimed at improving service delivery, will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Affected communities include Tunga Down, Dunyo, Mayera, Abedi Pele, Satellite, GHS Housing, New Bortianor, Red Top, East Legon, Ministry of Energy Residence, Gasemany House, Teshie Camp 2, Tebibianor, Tseaddo Roundabout, and surrounding neighborhoods.

In a public notice issued on Saturday, July 12, ECG apologized for the inconvenience and urged residents to prepare for the interruption. The company emphasized that the maintenance is necessary to ensure long-term reliability of power supply. Customers were advised to make alternative arrangements to minimize disruptions to their daily activities during the outage period.

ECG assured the public that its technical team will work efficiently to complete the maintenance within the scheduled time frame. The company also encouraged customers to report any emergencies or unusual occurrences to its customer service lines. This planned outage underscores ECG’s commitment to upgrading infrastructure and enhancing service quality for its consumers in the Greater Accra Region.
