President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed that the Operation Retrieve All Loot (ORAL) Committee’s actions are not directed specifically at former New Patriotic Party administration officials, but rather are intended to ensure responsibility for all those in positions of trust.
The President said “My administration is dedicated to putting in place a rigorous system of accountability without fear or favor,” while speaking to hundreds of people at a “Thank You” gathering in Cape Coast on 6th February 2025.
A sizable contingent of excited locals from all across the area including Chiefs, scholars, clerics, and other recognizable groups gathered at Victoria Park to greet the President and Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
H.E the President emphasized that the government’s “Operation Retrieve All Loot” program would hold current office holders accountable in addition to closely examining members of the previous administration. He further espoused that taking such actions was essential to realizing the government’s goal of a better, more prosperous society.
“We are not only going to pursue members of the past regime to account to the people of Ghana; we are going to pursue our own people to make sure they are held accountable to the people of Ghana,” he stated
