Bernard Amoabeng, a second year student of Adventist SHS, Kumasi, has been arrested by the Suame police command for allegedly shooting 2 students with a Gun he brought from home.
According to police report, the shooting incident occurred on the 4th April, 2025 at about 12pm.
The suspect, a 16 year old second year student was said to have brought a locally manufactured gun to the school. The weapon is believed to be owned by the boy’s father.
The weapon discharged while the student attempted to show it to his mates.
It has been reported by Joy News that one of the students tragically died due to wounds sustained through the shooting. Another victim was sent to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
