Sammy Gyamfi Esq, the National Communications Officer of the NDC party has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to serve as the acting MD of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC).

His appointment comes with the responsibility of setting up the Gold Board (GoldBod). The Gold Board is one of the promises in NDCs 2024 manifesto. Hence the Mahama administration is eager to fulfill that promise.

The letter dated Thursday, January 16th 2025 and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu indicated that the Gold Board which will be supervised by the Ministry of Finance is aimed at economic revitalization and proper management of the country’s gold resources to benefit the entire nation.
