Following a sudden illness after her official duties on Friday, March 28, 2025, Ghana’s Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, was admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday.
The Vice President had received initial treatment, according to a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson. Additionally, the Prof would seek additional medical care overseas in accordance with expert recommendations.
Although the specifics of her illness are still unknown, the news has caused a great deal of worry and well wishes from both the public and public leaders.
