The NPP ruling government has incurred the displeasure of the incoming Mahama – led administration.

The President elect’s transition team has accused the government of making last minute appointments, promotions and financial payments.

The incoming government’s transition team revealed that both teams agreed to pause any such advancement. Or even if any of such is made, it should be done in consultation with the other. This was revealed during the second joint meeting of both teams.
A press statement released by the Mahama transition team which was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu stated that officials who were in charge of the last minute promotions could be held accountable when the new government takes office. Further information states that those appointments will be terminated once the new government begins operations
