Hon Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, MP for Ablekuma South Constituency has refuted claims of involvement in the recent Kantamanto fire.
The Hon MP in a statement from his office, stated clearly his dissatisfaction for the unfortunate accusation leveled against him.
While he sympathized with the traders who had lost their investments, he denied outrightly any involvement in the incident.
The honorable member of parliament has served as the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. Hence he quizzed why anyone would attribute such a crime to him.
Since the unfortunate incident happened, there has been lots of conspiracy theories and accusations leveled against Government, Incoming Government and the Ga Traditional Council.
According to the Hon Okoe Vanderpuije, accusers claim he is part of the group that perpetuated the crime on behalf of the NDC in order to claim the land and build a mall in 2025.
He urged the public to disregard the allegations and be cautious of same. The MP concluded by thanking his supporters and constituents for their continued trust and confidence in him.
