CLOSAG (Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana) has announced it’s impending industrial action (Strike) on Thursday 20th February, 2025.

The association on 13th February 2025 hinted on such an impending industrial action if its demands were not met.
CLOSAG revealed that its decision to embark on such an action stems from the fact that Mr. Botchway, is still in office at the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

The Association have insisted that Government replaces Mr. Botchway, however, CLOSAG claims that his presence at the office’s budget hearing is an indication that he is still at post.

Whiles Government has defended his appointment stating that Mr. Botchway’s engagement is based on the constitution of the Republic, CLOSAG is till adamant is accepting this position.
