Prominent member of the NPP Hon Brian Acheampong has sent a congratulatory message to the opposition party.

What was thought to perhaps be a fiercer competition between the two parties has rather turned easy pizzy for the NDC
Brian Acheampong was MP for Abetifi constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana prior to the 2024 general elections.

He is probably the first in his party to recognize the victory of the opposition party.
The message read:
“We chose democracy, and we must all live and play by the rules of democracy. Congratulations to the NDC: its your turn to govern, and to the NPP, it is our turn to be in opposition. That’s what we chose, and we must ALL play by those rules. Peace must reverberate throughout the land!. Ghana’s democracy scores another point. Congrats once again to the NDC”.

Even without the EC releasing any official results as of Sunday morning, unconfirmed results collated by the party’s showed clearly that the opposition NDC has taken the lead in the elections.
The ruling party has lost a number of significant parliamentary seats as well.
It comes therefore as no surprise that Brian Acheamong took to social media to congratulate the opposition party.

We wait to see how other members of the ruling party also congratulate the opposition party.
