Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide woke up to devastating news from Hamburg, Germany of a 35-year-old gunman who entered the kingdom hall during religious activities and horribly opened fire, killing 7 innocent souls including an unborn baby.
The conflicting number of people confirmed dead may be due to the unborn baby who died with the mother making 7 with dozens more injured. It is feared that the number of fatalities may rise due to the severity of their injuries.
The intention of the said gunman is not known, but sources from Hamburg say he was part of the religious organization until he left barely 18 months ago but on unfavorable terms.
The German authorities are still investigation to ascertain what prompted the gunman to commit such a heinous crime against innocent worshipers.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Hamburg public Prosecutor has ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack.
Many have condemned the seemingly unprovoked attack on the religious group …German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, said he was left “speechless” by the “brutal act of violence”.
Investigations are still ongoing to get to the bottom of the matter in order to avert future occurrences.
