ASP Bawah Abdul Jalil of the National Police Headquarters has sued Adam Bonaa for defamation.
ASP Jalil is suing Adam Bonaa for a statement he allegedly made in an interview on Peace FM evening news on 31st Dec 2024.
The Writ of summons stated that Mr. Bonaa claims the Senior Police officer was directed by the Deputy IGP, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, to recruit some police officers to rig the 7th December Elections 2024 in favor of the then-ruling NPP party.
The Plaintiff ASP Jalil is claiming GHC 5,000,000.00 in damages. He is also seeking a perpetual injunction restraining the Defendant from making further defamatory statements against him.
He is also seeking a public retraction of the defamatory statement.
