The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has denied claims that four officers were detained in connection with the arrest of a Circuit Court judge for a traffic offense.

The CID labeled these reports as “false and without basis” in an official statement dated April 23, 2025

The judge had filed a petition on April 7, 2025, alleging that on December 13, 2024, four officers from the Adenta Divisional Police Command harassed her, assaulted her court clerk, and unlawfully towed her vehicle from the court complex.

Despite lodging a complaint with the Adenta Command, she received no response, prompting the CID’s intervention.

Three officers—Inspector Francis Adjei, G/Sgt. Dasebre Oti Boateng, and G/Cpl. Jonah Ajubulisa—were invited to the CID headquarters to provide statements but were not arrested or detained.

The Police stated that the officers were released after questioning, and the investigation remains ongoing
