The newly appointed Ghana Water Limited MD has visited the Kpeve Treatment plant as part of his first days in office.
Mr Adam Mutawakilu, the new MD, who was appointed by President John Dramani Mahama visited the water treatment plant with a group of engineers as part of his first week in office.
The Kpeve Water Intake point and water treatment plant is where raw water is abstracted, treated and distributed to the Ho Municipality and surrounding communities.
The Ho Municipality and its surroundings communities according to the Ghana Water Limited has suffered water supply challenges.
During the visit by the MD, he assured residents of an end to the crisis.
In assuring residents of the end to the crisis, the MD said “two new specified pumps had been procured and were expected to arrive in March to provide a medium-term but sustainable solution”.
In salvaging the situation temporarily, Mr. Mutawakilu said “In the meantime, the GWL will collaborate with the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and existing service providers to supply water to affected communities using tankers to ensure residents are not unduly affected
