Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has given reasons for the non swearing in of Gender Minister Agnes Naa Momo Lartey.

A section of Ghanaians who were aware of the Minister designate’s late arrival at the ministerial swearing-in ceremony were dissatisfied with the fact that a minister elect would miss such an important occasion.
However, the government spokesperson has given reasons to excuse the Gender minister from any assertion of deliberately missing the occasion.

Speaking on a political show at TV3, Mr. Kwakye said Hon Lartey called to alert government of her inability to attend the ceremony on time due to a family emergency. Hence plans were already made to accommodate her absence.
