President Nana Addo has claimed Ex president Mahama’s government was characterized by unstable power leading to the Ex president also claiming he solved the power crises before leaving office and labeling the current president a liar.
Both presidents have accused each other of not solving the power outage problem before either leaving office of being in office.
On Monday, the current president, Nana Addo claimed NDC’s 24 hour economy would not be feasible under a government that could not maintain constant power supply for even 12 hours. He said “If he couldn’t maintain a stable 12-hour power supply when he was in office, how can he promise a 24-hour economy? Stop the lies,”
This led the Ex president to respond to that claim on a campaign platform at Ellembelle in the Western region. He retorted : “There was no dumsor by 2016 December, nobody had load shedding in 2016, go and check GRIDCO records”
The ex president went on further to throw more stronger words at the current president: “I expect that when NPP is telling lies, they’ll leave it to the younger ones and the junior ones to do. But when the senior ones like Nana Akufo-Addo says that Dumsor was not solved before we came, I heard him say that if we could not keep the lights on, how can we run 24-hour economy. In 2016 dumsor had been solved. Nobody’s lights went off in 2016 nobody had load shedding in 2016 that is on record,”
