His Majesty School In Dansoman Attends “Shine Summit”

His Majesty Secondary School located in Dansoman, Accra has attended a highly educative Tech, Entrepreneurial and broadcasting  program at the LA Palm Royal Beach Hotel hosted by Ghanaian blogger and the “Generational Thinker” Kobby Kyei.

The purpose of the program is to educate, inform and empower the youth in society to challenge the status quo and rise above the normal route to leading a satisfying, meaningly and successful life while impacting society.

The program featured seasoned broadcasters in the Ghanaian media space, and successful entrepreneurs with speeches that challenged the brain of these young brilliant students to fully harness the power of human potential and change the all-too-familiar status quo

Wode Maya, directed his presentation to the school-going youths, urged them to focus on more impactful social issues like health, and education in order to expose the gaps that cripple and shatter the hopes of the vulnerable citizens in the country.

The Proprietor of the school Mr. Evans Gyimah Opoku, affectionately known as Prof, most likely for his skillful nature of teaching the

mathematics subject accompanied the students for the educational program. The total number of students from the School was 25  accompanied by one of their teachers Mrs Stella Bentil

 

 

Discipline, dedication and commitment are the school’s motto. And indeed, all those who have been taught by Prof can testify to his strict and disciplinary nature.

Having started as a Secondary School examination remedial and vacation classes centre, Prof has managed to transform the school into a full-blown secondary school.

The school can boast of these past students: Joe Mettle, Wutah Kobbie, Thomas Buxton, Lecturer, University of Ghana, Nimatu Ibrahim, Upper West Ghana Most Beautiful 2015, Maame Efua Anane Darko, Second runner up Miss Ghana 2005.

The school is approved by the Ghana Education Service to run secondary school programs.

Attending the program was certainly beneficial for the students. It would give them lots of avenues to choose from during the course of their lives having listened to all options to explore in this digital age.
