U.S Ex President Jimmy Carter Dies At 100 Years

Jimmy Carter, the former U.S President has died.

President Jimmy Carter died on Sunday and as a former president who has lived longer than anyone other president. He was 100 years in October. He was the 39th President and died in Georgia where his family was present.

Reports indicates the former president had been in home hospice care since February 2023 after a series of short hospital stays.

The former president ruled the United States for a period of 4 years. He governance span from 1976 to 1981.

He rose from humble beginnings as a peanut farmer to become president.  He served only one term in office.His reign saw him broker a landmark peace accord between Israel and Egypt.

He was busy in his later life, he worked tirelessly to ensure peace, environment and humans rights. In 2002, his hard work earned him the Nobel Peace Prize.

President Carter was married Rosalynn Carter for 77 years but she died a year earlier, that is November 2023. She was a mental health activist and  humanitarian. She died at the age of 96 years

President Carter’s death now sees only five surviving US presidents. They are : Joe Biden 82 years, Donald Trump 78 years, George W Bush 78 years, Bill Clinton 78 years and Barrack Obama 63 years.
