The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama has set a committee to review the constitution of the country.

This is in the fulfillment of his promise to review Ghana’s constitution.
The committee made up of 8 members will be chaired by Prof. H Kwasi Prempeh while Dr Rainer Akumperigeya serves as the secretary.

The objective of the committee is to identify the gaps and challenges in previous constitutional reviews as well as engage key stakeholders to solicit their views on the proposals for the amendment of the 1992 constitution.
Recommendation from the committee will be presented to Government within 5 months.
