The Ghana Police Service has released a statement affirming that it has restored calm, law and order at Nkwantana and its Environs in the Oti Region.

Unfortunately, the chaos that erupted in that region has resulted in the deaths of five persons and five other persons sustaining various levels of injuries. The chaos also resulted in the destruction of eight buildings and one shop.

The Police Service has assured the public that it is working together with the military to restore peace and order in the Oti Region.
