The Government of Ghana in July 2024 through Parliament instituted a law that combined Ghana Highway Authority, the Department of Urban Roads and the Department of Feeder Roads.
This was in accordance with Act 2024 (Act 1118).
However, the Mahama led Government through the Ministry of Roads and Highways has made a decision to suspend the Act in order to address concerns raised by key stakeholders.
The decision was communicated through a press release from the Ministry and signed by Head of Public Relations Unit, Nasir Ahmed Yartey, APR.
