The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended its best wishes to all candidates participating in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), while issuing a stern caution against examination malpractice.

In a press release dated 25th July 2025, the GES commended students for their hard work and urged them to remain confident and honest during the exams. The statement emphasized that success achieved through integrity is more fulfilling and sustainable, warning candidates against any form of malpractice.

The GES also announced strict measures to uphold the integrity of the examination process. The GES Council has approved the dismissal of any teaching or non-teaching staff, invigilators, or supervisors found engaging in malpractice, including collusion, leakage of exam materials, or aiding candidates. Students caught in such acts will face severe sanctions as well.

This decision is part of broader efforts to restore the credibility and fairness of the WASSCE, ensuring that the examination reflects true academic merit.

Regional and District Directors have been tasked with enforcing these directives across all examination centers. The GES called on all exam personnel to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

The statement concluded with a message of encouragement, wishing candidates success and reminding them that Ghana is proud of their efforts. The firm stance by the GES highlights its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the education system.
