The National Security of Ghana has made a statement concerning a publication made my the Herald Newspaper alleging the involvement and use of the state security apparatus in a kidnapping case at Spintex road.
On Friday 22nd November 2024, social media apps were flooded with an alleged case of abduction of Emirate Airport manager Mrs. Sylvia Baah.
She was finally rescued by the Ghana Police but details surrounding persons linked to her abduction and subsequent rescue was scanty.
However, on Monday 25th November 2024, the Herald newspaper made a publication that asserted that the abduction was carried out by some members of the National Security services and shepherded by one Rashida Saani Nasamu. This publication again has sparked a lot of outrage among Ghanaians. But the Security service has debunked the allegations.
The publications stated that the abduction took place because the Airport manager denied Rashida Saani and some other passengers their right to board a flight leading to some altercations at the airport. Hence Ms Rashida’s decision to teach Mrs Baah a lesson through the abduction
The Ghana Police Service however has not spoken about the matter.
