The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that a significant number of passports remain undelivered due to incorrect addresses and contact details provided by applicants.
In a public notice issued on July 23, 2025, the Ministry explained that passports unclaimed after 21 days are being returned to Passport Application Centres (PACs) across Ghana, as per agreements with courier services. Applicants who have not received their passports are urged to contact the PAC where they submitted their biometric data or call the Passport Client Service Unit at 0302 754 200 for assistance.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of providing accurate information during the application process to avoid delays. It also called for public cooperation to ensure the smooth delivery of passports, reaffirming its commitment to improving passport administration services. This announcement aims to streamline the collection process and reduce the backlog of undelivered passports nationwide.
