The McDan Aviation Services has described as false and erroneous the news circulating in the media of arrears to the tune of $3million.
The aviation services revealed that indeed they had financial obligations towards the Airport company. It also stated an agreement of settlement with the Airport Company ltd was in place.
McDan’s company on the other hand expressed disappointment over the Airport authority locking up its premises.
In a statement signed by the Chief Executive of the McDan Group, the company said “it is pertinent to note, however that McDan Aviation does not owe GACL $3million on the terminal as erroneously reported”
Regarding its payment plan towards is financial obligation, the McDan group says it made payment las week towards its debt with the aim to continuing further payment in January 2025.
Another reason that perhaps might have contributed to the disappointment from the McDan group is the alleged litigation on a piece of land at Spintex
According to the McDan group, its company purchased a piece of land from the Airport company along the Spintex road.
The statement said “A third party has raised litigation issues, resulting in court proceedings. GACL is aware of this situation, and we have communicated that payment will remain on hold until the court case is fully resolved”
The Airport company is yet to respond to the issue of land acquisition and litigation raised by the McDan group.
As of now, the McDan aviation services has not also mentioned how much it owes the Airport company.
