Accra, Ghana – His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, has appointed renowned media personality, fashion entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) as Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs.

With his extensive experience in connecting Ghana with its global diaspora, KOD’s appointment underscores President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening ties with Ghanaians abroad, fostering investment opportunities, and enhancing cultural and economic collaboration

 

President John Dramani Mahama has named Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs. Mr. Darko, is a media personality and the CEO of Nineteen 57.

KOD is a Fashion entrepreneur, cultural ambassador, and well-known media figure in Ghana and most parts of West Africa. The president has expressed high hopes in the media personality’s ability to improve the diaspora relationship with Ghana.

As the founder of the yearly fashion and music event Rhythms on Da Runway and the CEO of the apparel brand Nineteen 57, KOD has made a name for himself in Africa’s fashion and entertainment sectors.

KOD holds a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies and a Master’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Media, Arts and Culture (UNIMAC).
