On Sunday, August 10, Islamic Janazah prayers were held at the State House in Accra. The burial followed at the Military Cemetery near Burma Camp. President John Mahama, Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin led the mourners. The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, also paid his respects.
Three Days of Deep Mourning

What Caused the Crash?
The Ghana Armed Forces confirmed that the Z-9 helicopter disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff from Accra at 09:12 GMT. It was heading to Obuasi for an anti-illegal mining operation. A search mission later confirmed no survivors. The cause of the crash still remains unknow as investigations are underway.
