A car has been driven into a crow in Germany killing 2 people.

The state government of Germany has reported that a car was driven into a crowd at the central German city of Magdeburg Christmas market on Friday 20th Dec around 7pm. The city of Magdeburg is 80 miles west of Berlin.

Two persons including a child were killed in the crush.

Report suggest that a 50 year old man rented a car purposely to commit that crime.

The deliberate act of violence also injured and additional 70 other people.

Eyewitnesses say there was no sign of the car coming. Due to the noise, merrymaking and loud music, the sound of the car was inaudible. Hence there was no time to react.

The driver of the car, a 50 year old Saudi national has been taken into custody. Though it is believed that he acted alone, German police says another arrest has been made online.

The 50 year old Saudi national is said to have practiced as a doctor. The accused is said to have lived in Germany as a permanent resident from 2006.

Germans are reeling over this because a similar incident happened back in 2016 on a Berlin Christmas market. That attack also killed 13 people while injuring 70 more.

Other European cities have experienced a similar heinous crime by religious extremist groups. Many people are wondering how this crime could be stopped.
