So far, there has been two recorded incidences of election malpractice during the special voting.
The first incident happened in Walewale in the North East region.
The incident involved a fire officer who allegedly photographed his ballot paper after voting. The suspect was arrested and is in police custody assisting with investigations

The second incident happened in the Ayawaso West Wougon Constituency in Accra.
The process was normal for hours until the candidate on the ticket of the NPP, Madam Lydia Alhassan began to dish out meals for voters.

Already, there has been fierce competition between the two candidates.
Perhaps, what might have agitated him more was the inclusion of some security personnel and officers of the electoral commission.
This latest incident blurs the lines between illegality and morality. As for as elections are concerned, it is illegal to dish out any items to voters during election day. However, this practice may have unwittingly been accepted by some, making it difficult to determine the extent of its illegality and subsequent culpability.

The NDC candidate (John Dumelo) was certainly not happy about the incident and chastised his opponent.
In an interview with Joy News, he couldn’t hide his frustration and disgust over the incident.
