Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, a journalist and host of a Podcast “For The Records” has alleged that Ghana’s Vice president Prof Jane Naana Opoku- Agyemang might be suffering from a stroke.
This follows the news of the Prof’s sudden illness after work on Friday, March 28, 2025. The Government’s communications team only issued a statement about her sudden illness and stated she would seek further medical care abroad.
The statement did not confirm precisely what the Vice President might be suffering from.
According the Afrifa, the Vice President suffered a mild stroke and not a heart attack like others are alleging on social media.
He further stated that the NDC government officials are likely to treat Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang the same way Prof Evans Attah Mills and Amissah Arthur were treated which led to their deaths.
He also stated that President Evans Attah Mills and Amissah Arthur both died because Ghana’s healthcare systems are not up to the universal standards.
In his contrary opinion to what is popular in the public, the age of the Vice President (73) makes it no crime to seek proper health care for her no matter the cost or the location.
