A verified twitter account that bears the name Gabby Otchere-Darko has stated under the post of Communications Directorate of the Jubilee house that the President’s secretary Mr. Asante Bediatuo had no 10-hour brain surgery.
This comes after numerous speculations by some Ghanaians about the health of the secretary and Ambassador at large. Some even purported that Mr. Bediatuo had suffered a stroke.
Thereafter, the Communications Department of the Jubilee house in Accra released a press statement clarifying the true condition of the Ghanaian statesman.
Mr. Gabby Okyere-Darko, perhaps in further clarification of the matter used his X account (formerly twitter) to comment on the press release and stated that “He has had no 10-hour brain surgery, please”. This may as well be in response to the several speculations of a stroke or a more serious illness.
Mr. Asante Bediatuo traveled with the President Nana Akuffo Addo to the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, America.
The press release stated that the secretary, after the General Assembly stayed behind to conduct further government business after which he fell ill and was admitted to the hospital.
The Communications Department further stated that the minister was in stable condition and responding to treatment.
The statement further urged Ghanaians to pray for the quick recovery of the president’s secretary.
