Court Remands Suspect Who Fired A Gun During Ga Ceremony

The Ghana Police has reported that a District Court has remanded a suspect involved in a shooting incident at a Ga Traditional Ceremony.

According to the police report, the suspect shot a gun during an enstoolment ceremony at Nungua on Saturday 22nd February 2025.

The victim (deceased) Naa Borley Ahmed sustained gunshot wounds in her right thigh but succumb to her injuries later at the hospital. She was being enstooled as the Queen of the Ga-Adangme Muslim Union (Nungua West).

During the ceremony that unfortunately turned fatal, Naa Borley and her husband were both being enstooled.

The suspect who has been identified as Samuel Adjei has been charged with murder and is to reappear before court on 12th March 2025.
