More than ten people have allegedly died at an AngloGold mining site in Mangoase, Obuasi.
A clash between military personnel and small scale miners has resulted in the deaths of more than eight individuals.

The military were stationed to provide security for the miners at the site.
Details of what ignited the clash is unclear
Unfortunately however, three AngloGold miners who sustained gunshot injuries were taken to the Okomfo Anokye Hospital but have been reported dead.

It is also reported that 8 of the illegal miners were shot dead by the military.
The confusion has resulted in the closure of the AngloGold Ashanti Schools on Monday and Tuesday.
