As a result, two people tragically lost their lives at Lakeside and one person at New Legon.
Ms Esinam granted an interview to Citi FM Monday morning after the flood on Sunday.
The MCE said “We lost two people in Lakeside, including a gentleman near New Legon and a four-year-old girl at Nanakrom,” she stated.
She also promised to take strong action against unauthorized buildings built on waterways in response to growing worries over Accra’s frequent floods, which are mostly caused by inadequate urban planning and the obstruction of natural watercourses.
