Following a scoreless first half, 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or recipient Aitana Bonmati opened the scoring in the 63rd minute. As Lyon sought to equalize, Alexia Putellas sealed the victory with a goal in the 95th minute.
The season has been remarkable for the women’s team, who have clinched the Women’s La Liga title with 27 victories in 28 matches. With only two games remaining, they are on the brink of completing an undefeated season.
