The Ghana Police has announced the arrest of 11 suspected illegal miners.
Western Central Regional Police Command carried out the intelligence-led operation.
The men were arrested in the Western Region for their illegal activities along the Bonsa River bank in the Western Region.
The 11 suspects comprise of 7 Ghanaians and 4 Chinese Nationals. The suspects were arrested on the 31st March 2025.
Two separate groups comprising of all 11 suspected illegal miners were arrested on separate locations. While 5 of them were apprehended on a site at Bonsa, the other 6 were apprehended at Wassa Agona
According to the Police, all 11 suspects are in custody and will be arrayed before court to face justice
