The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released a press statement on additional funds for processing of WASSCE for School Candidates.
The Examination council announced receipt of cheque to the tune of GHC 35,000,000.00 from the ministry of education on 25th Dec, 2024.
For some weeks now, the fate of candidates who wrote the WASSCE exams hanged in the balance due to alleged non payment of arrears from government.
This meant that the examination results could not be released making it improbable to determine when schools would re-open.
But upon receipt of the amount from the ministry, the council is poised to work around the clock to ensure the results are released by end of the month, the statement said.
